Do you need IT competences at university level?

Are you a student at another university or have you finished your studies and want to upgrade your qualifications and competences in the area of computer science and IT? At DIKU you can take one or more courses – and there are many opportunities. Each year more than 50 courses are offered in the computer science area. In the course catalogue you can explore the various courses and find detailed descriptions of them.

The courses are only offered if there are open seats in the course.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

If you want to upgrade your qualifications and competences, you can take both bachelor’s and master’s courses in computer science. The courses run for one block and consists of lectures and exercises 1-2 times a week, a few courses 3 days a week. Each block is approx. 2 months from the first lecture until the exam.

Tuition

Approx. 850 kr. per ECTS point
2,5 ECTS: Approx. 2125 kr.
7,5 ECTS: Approx. 6375 kr.
15 ECTS: Approx. 12750 kr.

If you merely want to take the exam, independent study is possible after approval by the course responsible. The price for the exam will be approx. 1000 kr.

CREDIT STUDENT

You can take single courses at master’s level or do projects at DIKU if you’re a full-time or PhD student at another faculty at UCPH or at another Danish educational institution.

You need pre-approval from your faculty or educational institution before applying for the course.

If you study at a foreign university, you have to apply for single courses as an exchange student og guest student.

It’s free to take a course as a credit student.

SUMMER SCHOOLS

Each year, DIKU arranges Summer School in specialised areas of computer science directed at both DIKU students and computer science students from other universities. Previous Summer Schools have focused on subjects such as Online Learning and Advanced Java.

Courses

The courses follow the regular block structure.

If there are open seats in the course after the application deadline, you can apply for the course as a credit student until the first week of teaching and otherwise until four weeks before the first week of teaching (as single course student). Late applications will only be handled if there is time.
