Postdoctoral Researcher of Big Data Systems

To address the challenges of large data volumes, high data velocity, and wide data variety, big data systems should employ parallel and distributed computing, modern hardware and architectures (such as GPUs, NUMA, and RDMA, etc.), large main-memory, as well as flexible data models (such as RDF, graph, key-value etc.). We are looking for a postdoc with a strong publication record, preferably in the intersection of some of the aforementioned areas. This must be demonstrated by publications in top-tier conferences and journals in the database or systems area.

The position is initially for one year, but may be extended to two years based on mutual agreement.

The postdoc’s duties will include research within Big Data Systems as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties.

Terms of employment

The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

Depending on seniority, the gross basic salary range for Postdoctoral Fellows is DKK 32,745 to DKK 34,476 per month (level 6 to 8) (about EUR 4,100 to 4,400 per month). A supplement could be negotiated, dependent on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. An additional 17.1 % monthly contribution to pension will be paid by the employer.
