Post-doctoral Position, Ecole Centrale de Paris, Applied Mathematics &
Systems Lab.

Project Start: as early as possible in summer 2006
The Computer Vision and Medical Imaging group of the Ecole Centrale de
Paris (one of the most famous French elite engineering schools), invites
applications for a postdoctoral research position in medical imaging
primarily but also in the area computer vision (1.5 year - fixed term
with possible renewal) . The candidate is expected to collaborate with
the Henri Mondor University Hospital in Paris and study the motion of
the abdominal aorta after prosthetic surgery, towards understanding
areas where the prosthetic segment has high risk of failure.
Furthermore, he/she is expected to contribute in other research projects
of the group like shape modeling, segmentation, tracking and
registration being some of the possible topics.
As a postdoc in Ecole Centrale, there will be several opportunities to
work in numerous project image analysis, supervise M.Sc. students, and
collaborate with the leading academic and industrial institutions in
Europe.
Technical requirements:
PhD in computer science or allied field, preferably with a
specialization in medical imaging/computer vision, with prior work in
the domain of structure from motion being a plus. -Excellent
mathematical and analytical abilities and good programming skills in C,
C++, and Matlab
