Dear Researcher,
We would like to invite you to attend the IEEE workshop on
Beyond Multiview Geometry (BMG) to be held in conjunction with
IEEE CVPR 2007, on Friday June 22 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The focus of the workshop is on the next generation of 3D estimation
techniques, moving beyond traditional geometry-based methods such as
stereo and structure from motion with their inherent limitations. The
talks will introduce new techniques, methodologies, and sensors
targeted for a variety of reconstruction applications in several
fields.
For more details visit http://www.cs.stevens.edu/~bmgcvpr/program.html
Speakers include:
Stefano Soatto (UCLA, USA) - INVITED SPEAKER
Shape, radiance and multiview
Ju Yong Chang (Seoul National Uni., Korea)
Normal field and level sets
Guoliang Fan (Oklahoma State, USA)
Shape reconstruction in medicine
Xiaolei Huang (Lehigh, USA)
Shape matching in mecicine
Jeremy Jackson (Georgia Tech, USA)
Variability modeling
Yves Jean (Lehman - CUNY, USA)
Sensors for scene space filtering
Shahriar Negahdaripour (Miami, USA)
Opto-acoustic combination
Stefan Wenhardt (Erlangen Uni., Germany)
Next best view in reconstruction
Pengdong Xiao (Australian Ntnl Uni., Australia)
MRF and Gaussian curvature combination
The day will conclude with a panel discussion on the
"Future of 3D Reconstruction".
We believe that this workshop will be a nice conclusion to
CVPR. Please plan to attend and/or forward this announcement to
interested colleagues.
We hope to see you there,
John Oliensis (Stevens)
Elli Angelopoulou (Erlangen Uni.)
George Kamberov (Stevens)
Quynh Dinh (Stevens)
