[Imageworld] Research engineer position available at TU Munich

A full-time research engineer position is available at the Technical
University of Munich (TUM), a German Elite University and one of the leading
European Universities. More precisely, the position will be at the Computer
Science Institute within the Chair of Computer Aided Medical Procedure
(http://campar.in.tum.de). The position is partly financed by Siemens
Corporate Technology in Munich. The position is for one year and is
renewable on a yearly basis by mutual agreement.
The position will be open until a suitable candidate is found.
The successful applicant will be involved in the Computer Vision Group where
she/he will be responsible of the implementation (or reimplementation) of
Computer Vision algorithms that are going to be delivered to the different
industrial partners. The applicant will be also involved in the management
of some projects. Excerpts of the projects are available in
The applicants need to have a Diploma or Master in Computer Science or
Electrical Engineering with good Mathematical skills. Expertise in
programming in Matlab and C/C++ are desired. Applicants with experience in
Computer Vision, Image Processing and Real-time Programming will be
preferred. She/He should be in the same time autonomous and able to work in
an interactive team. Good English skills are required and German is a plus.
The salary is between 35000 Euros and 40000 Euros per year according to
