Precise Biometrics in Lund is looking for someone to direct the company 
research group developing fingerprinting algorithms. The mission within 
the research group is to remain at the forefront of developments in 
fingerprint matching algorithms, defining long term strategies and 
visions of Precise Biometrics fingerprint algorithms projects.


You will also be part of external activities such as participation and 
contribution in pan-European research projects e.g. EU FP7, national, 
international conferences and standardization groups in the area of 
fingerprint matching technology.


The ideal candidate for this position has a PhD and 5 years experience 
in signal processing research, preferably together with image processing 
and a good knowledge of fingerprint algorithms or other automated 
biometric algorithms. A good knowledge of tools such as MATLAB and 
procedural programming languages is desirable, plus excellent 
communication skills in English.


As a person you are highly creative with an ability to follow front line 
science in the area of fingerprint algorithms. Furthermore, your 
performance is stimulated in an environment in which you work both 
independently while providing leadership in the team. As the head of the 
research group you will act on company level in Lund as well as in 
collaboration with other companies at an international level.
