Assistant Professor Position in Computer Science (Informatics)
Research Institute of Electronics, Shizuoka University
1. Job title and number of positions: Assistant Professor (1 position)
2. Workplace: Vision Information Processing Laboratory (to be established)
3. Research field and expertise: The successful candidate should have a
Computer
Science (Informatics) background with specialization in computer
interfaces and
human-computer interactions (HCI). Experience in computer graphics and image
processing would be a plus. Native level of Japanese and excellent written
and
spoken English are desirable. A person with international education and/or
research
experience who feels comfortable working in a multicultural environment with
foreign staff and collaborators is anticipated, but anyone in the above
research field
is also encouraged to apply.
4. Requirements: The candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in a relevant
field or
should provide evidence that s/he will get it by the start of employment.
5. Employment period: This is a 5-year contract, renewable based on
performance.
