The School of Computing at the University of Dundee seeks applicants for a research position on machine learning and computer vision for assistive technologies.  Expertise is sought in the the following areas

-computer vision analysis of human behaviors during tasks requiring assistance,
-machine learning of novel activities or human behaviors,
-decision theoretic models (MDPs and POMDPs) for a variety of assistance tasks and/or for a hierarchy of such tasks,
-computer graphics interfaces for creative artwork tasks

The successful candidate will ideally hold a PhD in a related discipline, although we will consider any applicants with substantial postgraduate experience.
