---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear colleague,

PCV 2010 will be held in Paris, France, September 1-3, 2010.
PCV is an ISPRS selective conference covering all the aspects of
computer vision and image analysis dealing with geomatics data (or
geographic data).
Papers in the main technical program must describe high-quality,
original research and will be presented either orally in a single track
or as a poster.

Focus:

PCV focuses on the processing of:

      * essentially optical images and 3D point clouds, acquired from
        satellite, aerial or street level acquisition systems.
      * data which are all acquired with the perspective of generating
        accurate and robust 3D models, digital maps and data bases, for
        3D mapping or geographical multimedia applications or
        applications needing "maps of the environnement" as an input
        such as for example robotics and autonomous navigation.

Topics:

Contributions are sought on new and original research on any aspect of
photogrammetric computer vision and image analysis. Possible topics
include, but not limited to:

      * Sensor Pose Estimation of Images and Range data
      * Surface Reconstruction from Images and Range Data
      * 3D point cloud processing
      * Segmentation and Classification of Images and Range Data
      * Image Indexation and Image Retrieval
      * 3D Object Extraction and reconstruction
      * 3D City Models, Road Models and Traffic Monitoring
      * Image Sequence Analysis
      * SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping)
      * Performance Evaluation and Benchmarking

A detailed list of topics can be found here.

The 2010 Symposium will have special sessions to cover all of the ISPRS
Technical Commision III Working Groups as well as the Intercommission
Working Groups.

application, please visit the ISPRS Commission III web site

Paper submission and selection:

All submissions will be handled electronically. Submission instructions
will be posted on the conference website (http://pcv2010.ign.fr) in due
course.
The proceedings will be published in the International Archives of the
Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences.

Tutorials and demos:

In addition to the main technical program, the conference will include a
tutorial day on August 31, 2010 and Demonstrations.
Please submit tutorial proposals to pcv2010 at ign.fr using the document
that can be downloaded here (Deadline: January 1, 2010).
