Call For Participation: ICPR contest on Semantic Description of Human
Activities (SDHA 2010)
We are glad to announce the ICPR contest on Semantic Description of Human
Activities 2010 (SDHA 2010): http://cvrc.ece.utexas.edu/SDHA2010/
SDHA 2010 is a research competition composed of three types of activity
recognition challenges, organized as a part of the ICPR 2010 contests. (
http://www.icpr2010.org/contests.php)
We welcome researchers to demonstrate their existing methods or explore new
techniques using the new human activity datasets (UT-Interaction, UT-Tower,
and UCR-Videoweb) distributed through this contest.
There are three challenges one can participate, which focus on different
aspects of human activity recognition:
*High-level Human Interaction Recognition Challenge: recognizing human-human
interactions (e.g. shaking hands and pushing) from continuous videos //
UT-Interaction dataset

*Aerial View Activity Classification Challenge: classifying single-person
actions (e.g. carrying a box and digging) filmed from a distant aerial view
// UT-Tower dataset
<http://cvrc.ece.utexas.edu/SDHA2010/Aerial_View_Activity.html>
*Wide-Area Activity Search and Recognition Challenge: searching for videos
obtained from multiple cameras covering wide area, given a particular query
video // UCR-Videoweb dataset

Important Dates:
# March 25th, 2010 : Deadline for the submission of results.
# April 1st, 2010 : Notification of participation.
# August 23rd, 2010 : SDHA workshop date at ICPR 2010.
Organizers:
* Michael S. Ryoo, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute
(ETRI), Korea
