start: march 2012
duration: 1 year + 1 year
location: Lille (France)
missions:
In the framework of the laboratory working group called "full field
measurement",
the job is to develop a platform for image registration algorithm
based on the C++ ITK library.
This software platform will process both bi- and tri-dimensional images.
Image processing in real time will be investigated.
The aim of the work is to run the programs on both GPU cards
(Graphical Processor Unit) and HPC computer (High Performance
Computing).
At the end of this development, the publication of different algorithm
comparison on both synthetic and experimental setups in both solid
mechanics of fluids will be carried out (see
http://www.pivchallenge.org). Moreover, the developped framework will
be published in the insight journal (see
http://www.insight-journal.org).
The work is, especially, the implementation in the library of both
real time (CPU, GPU) and distributed computing (scalability) for the
different registration algorithms (e.g. block-matching, , ...)
